Course descriptor:   This training has been developed for staff who work in primary schools. It is primarily aimed at teachers, teaching assistants and other staff who are involved in children’s education and support (e.g. safeguarding leads). The training is being facilitated by a clinical psychologist and a trainee clinical psychologist from the Paediatric SARC at Alder Hey.

The training will explore the possible impact of sexual abuse (including the possible impact on children in the school environment) and how to support children, at school, in response to the trauma of sexual abuse.

Who is the training for?

Primary school based staff from: Liverpool, Knowsley, St Helens, Wirral and Sefton
