Liverpool Mental Health Festival

Liverpool’s Mental Health Festival 2017 took  place 1st – 14th October, incorporating World Mental Health Day.

The festival features music, dance, comedy, drama, visual arts, poetry / spoken word, film, information, advice, training courses, workshops, fire, drumming and more.

Throughout the session, you will be introduced to the complexities of grief and provided with tools and strategies to help struggling young people navigate their distress.

Members of the Mental Health Support Offer for Liv Members of the Mental Health Support Offer for Liverpool’s Children & Young People design and deliver an ongoing programme of funded training opportunities.

Underpinned by therapeutic models, this is designed to educate and empower professionals, parents and carers as we strive to improve the knowledge and understanding of mental health among children and young people.

The @MYARAISETeam delivers these bite-sized sessions, which can be accessed online and last up to one hour.

The session introduces the resilience framework, l The session introduces the resilience framework, looking at the everyday normal magic that we use to help us navigate through the challenges we face and considering positive alternatives in spite of the difficulties. 

We'll focus on the three facets of the framework; firstly at the young person, then from the perspective as a parent/carer and finally as a school establishment. The training provides realistic examples of things to try in all three categories whilst exploring the five core elements of the framework.

This Bitesize course introduces the necessity to t This Bitesize course introduces the necessity to talk about suicide in a way that normalises the conversation and then to consider the impact on the individual and those around. 

The session is based on the researched SERIOUS training; asking the question of; ‘How serious is serious?' 

The training will also introduce the need to be specific and unpick the questions within a safety plan.

You will learn:
✔️A greater understand of the impact of suicide.
✔️How to be prepared to ask about suicide.
✔️How complete a safety plan.
