Event overview

This course has been written to encourage professionals/professionals to view behaviour as communication.

We will focus on the purpose of behaviour and look at some of the underlying causes of behaviour and how these link to children and young people’s mental health. We will look at ways of building resilience through behaviour management and will look at how to design an Individual Behaviour Plan that is centred around resilience.


Who is it aimed at?

Teachers, Learning mentors, Pastoral heads, Parents & carers, youth workers & school nurses.


Level of Need

(Level 1. Universal Services, Level 2. Additional Need – Multi-Agency Early Help, Level 3. Complex Needs – Multi-Agency Early Help, Level 4. Acute Specialist, Including Safeguarding)

This training is aimed at those working across the levels 1 & 2.

• To explore behaviour and what it communicates.
• To consider the factors that influence behaviour.
• To explore some strategies for managing behaviour.
• To take a moment for self-care and recognise the importance for this in dealing with behaviour.
