Event overview

This course is an interactive course that explores the life of young people in today’s digital world. We discuss how technology has advanced over the past few decades, and how we can learn from young people about technology and how it makes them feel. It explores research around mental health and technology and will focus on building a culture of resilience around mental health and technology, and how we can manage the risk. Delegates will receive information and resources via email after the course.


Who is it aimed at?

Teachers, Learning mentors, Pastoral heads, Parents & carers, youth workers & school nurses.


Level of Need

(Level 1. Universal Services, Level 2. Additional Need – Multi-Agency Early Help, Level 3. Complex Needs – Multi-Agency Early Help, Level 4. Acute Specialist, Including Safeguarding)

This training is aimed at those working at Levels 1 & 2, with aspects being suitable for those working at level 3.


What will attendees learn from this event?

  • Make sense of technology in the lines of children and young people
  • To explore the risk factors to mental health potentially caused through technology
  • To explore digital resilience and what it means for young people
  • Bridge the gap between ‘’digital natives’’ and ‘’digital immigrants’’
  • To equip delegates with a question toolkit to explore young peoples ‘online life’.
