Event overview

Anxiety is one of the most commonly presenting issue affecting children and young people at the moment and many of our children find themselves dealing with ‘BIG Thoughts’ that can overwhelm and start to impact on their social and emotional wellbeing. In every classroom approximate 3 children are believed to have a diagnosed mental health illness, and we know that there are many more that haven’t been diagnosed.

This course has been written to give professionals/professionals an overview around how anxiety affects children and young people, and some of the strategies they can use to work alongside and support them.

We will focus on the concept of how to spot the ‘BIG Thoughts’ that children and young people may be experiencing, and will use a range of techniques to help children to deal with them.
