Event overview
Alder Hey Fresh CAMHS will help you to take a fresh look at your skills working with young people, who may receive a diagnosis of personality disorder. This half-day training is delivered from a clinical psychology perspective and will give you a framework for understanding the theoretical background to what forms our personality traits, and how life experiences shape our identity and sense of self. This training provides an opportunity to critically reflect on your own professional practice through group exercises, case discussions, and discussion with other delegates. We will explore together therapeutic approaches to supporting these young people with change and discuss when to refer to Fresh CAMHS and other services. The session will be interactive and will create a space to connect with other professionals. No prior knowledge of the area is expected.
