Voices of Young People- BITESIZE via ZOOM

Date/Time

26/08/2020 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Voices of Young People bitesize course is aimed at parents, carers and staff interested in exploring the mental health concerns of young people and finding out what we can do to address those concerns. The session is broken into 3 sections:

  • Concerns of young people around mental health support.
  • How to improve young people’s participation in mental health support.
  • How to support young people around mental health and Covid-19 concerns.

By understanding what young people have identified as barriers to their inclusion in mental health support, we are able to look at how we can work around those to make sure the young person is receiving the mental health support they need. To contextualise what we are able to do as individuals and what will require structural changes, we will take a look at Bronfenbrenner’s ecological systems. Finally we will explore what the major concerns of young people have been around the coronavirus, what we can do to support young people with these problems, and where we can signpost for professional help.

**This bite-size course will be delivered via Zoom. You will receive confirmation of the Zoom call via email a day prior to the course start date**
