Get involved with Liverpool CAMHS

One of The Liverpool CAMHS Partnership’s aims is to make the mental health and emotional wellbeing of children and young people ‘Everyone’s Business’. In doing so, the RAISE mental health promotion team want to make sure that you, the children and young people, parents and carers and members of the workforce have a say on how services are delivered and get involved with Liverpool CAMHS.

Participation is at the heart of what we do because it’s important that your voices are heard and that they inform the delivery of the Liverpool CAMHS Offer.

I am a child or young person and I want to get involved.

GREAT! We are always excited when new young people get involved with Liverpool CAMHS. The RAISE mental health promotion team can tell you more and invite you to the next meeting or event we have so you can get a taste of what participation is all about.

Almost everything we do involves the participation of children and young people (up to 25 years) so that young people have a voice around mental health and emotional wellbeing. From planning city-wide events, open mic nights, filming, steering groups, focus groups, workshops, website development and much, much more!

The NOW Festival

Get involved with Liverpool CAMHS

Liverpool NOW Festival

Established in 2015, The NOW Festival aims to engage young people in a creative discussion around the topic of mental health through whatever ‘NOW’ issue is selected for that year. The festival provides a platform from which to raise awareness, challenge stigma and explore ways of building resilience and improving mental health.

MYA YAY is a participation group, named by the young people themselves, which is a platform for young people across the Liverpool CAMHS partnership and wider organisations such as schools and youth groups to have a voice around all things mental health.

The group meet every Tuesday evening, 5-7 pm, currently on Zoom. They’re always on the lookout for new members, so if you know of a young person aged 11+, they can email Tony Niemen

I am a parent or carer, and I want to get involved.

We welcome parents and carers who want to get involved with having their voices heard about mental health services for their children. Please get in touch for more info or future meeting dates.

We are currently delivering bite-size courses covering a range of mental health issues which impact on children, young people and their families.

The sessions will last between 20-30 minutes and will be delivered via the video-calling tool, Zoom, to groups of people at various times of the day and evening. We are inviting parents as well as members of the children and young people’s workforce to take part in these sessions together.

You can register for each course on the training pages
