Race Equality Hub Workshop – Young People

Liverpool City Region Combined Authority is holding a workshop on 24th June from 5pm to 6:30pm to give young people aged 16 to 30 from a Black, Asian or other Minority Ethnic background the opportunity to shape plans for a pioneering Race Equality Hub right here in the Liverpool City Region.

Our vision is that this Hub will address the underrepresentation of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities within the Liverpool City Region’s current workforce and business ecosystem. The Hub will be a long-term and holistic solution that focuses on training, positive action and business support, and its role will be as a central point of coordination.

We have already held a workshop with residents, businesses, community groups and teachers and we also want to hear from our region’s young people to help us shape the Hub.

As a thank you, we will be giving each participant a £25 Love2Shop e-voucher.

The young person’s workshop is scheduled for Thursday 24th June @17:00, it will run for an hour and a half, with plenty of time set aside to discuss these key issues and for us to gain vital input. We want to hear from young people:

  • From a Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic background;
  • Who are aged between 16 and 30;
  • Live within the Liverpool City Region (Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral);
  • Who have access to Zoom.
