YPAS Celebrate 50 years of mental health services for children and young people

YPAS staff and some members of the CAMHS Partnership didn’t let a bit of rain stop them with a celebratory BBQ and fun and games at Sefton Park all in aid of YPAS’s 50th Birthday Celebrations.

This year YPAS has been providing mental health services for children and young people in Liverpool for 50 years and there are lots of events happening to celebrate. All staff members came together to compete in a variety of fun challenges including sumo suits, tug of war, giant chess, giant jenga and a huge inflatable obstacle course! It was a fantastic day despite the odd rain shower and great fun was had by all. The excellent BBQ was provided by BCB Catering and was a much needed refuel after the mornings challenges. The winning team “wrong direction” were the best team on the day and claimed the winner’s trophy and medals! WELL DONE to them.

Monique Collier YPAS CEO, said: “Excellent Team building day and at this time of year too. YPAS is currently expanding its services through Liverpool transformation planning NHS England / clinical commissioning group, and we recently recruited 20+ practitioners to broaden our support and therapeutic provision.

“This day accommodated space for the new & existing staff to bond, trust, play and develop, thanks to Natalie Smith Administrator and Nici Konigs-Balfry (Trustee) it ticked all the boxes.”

Please see a few photos below of some of the highlights of the day. Team tactics are already being discussed for future events as things did get quite competitive! Thank you to the CAMHS Partnership staff who also came along to support us.
