On Saturday 28th July, Staff, young people and allies marched with, Barnardo’s Action with Young Carers, YPAS GYRO (LGBTQ+ Youth) and THE (Trans Health Education) Action Youth groups to celebrate the diversity in our LGBTQ+ identities.

As part of the CAMHS partnership GYRO (LGBTQ+ Youth) and THE (Trans Health Education) Action Youth and staff from YPAS will be marching at Liverpool Pride on Saturday 28th July and celebrating after with music from DJ Dave Bolton and live performances from young people. There will also be some games, food and refreshments available.

On 11th July at YPAS North Hub, YPAS and The Community Health Ambassador Team worked together to organise a community health morning for parents. It was well attended, with all parents benefiting from gaining lots of information.
Over the last several weeks, children from YPAS’s Smarty’s groups have been practising and preparing for their dance performance with Movema Dance and to be part of The Brouhaha Carnival. The Brouhaha Carnival is focused on celebrating Diversity and widening participation within the arts, through creativity and dance.
YPAS is seeking to employ a Children’s Psychological Therapist to join the national award-winning Seedlings Project to deliver therapeutic services in Liverpool Primary Schools.
Liverpool City Council and Barnardo’s, as part of the city’s Early Help Workforce Developments, are delivering half day multi-agency sessions to ensure young carers and their families are provided with an effective response from both adult and children’s services, and practitioners understand their roles and responsibilities.
