As we reflect on World Suicide Prevention Day, we at Merseyside Youth Association’s RAISE Mental Health Promotion Team are launching a much-needed project for students to help them support peers with suicidal behaviours. We recognise that feelings of overwhelm can cause further harm as can academic pressures and loneliness.
This project aims to bridge the gap between loneliness and belonging, giving students a voice and the confidence to approach and open up conversations around suicide, whilst understanding their own wellbeing and self-care.
